Reflections on Inner Transformation available now -- digitally via Bandcamp as well as in physical CD. Available 5/13 on all streaming platforms.
Reflections on Inner Transformation is now available via Bandcamp, and will officially release to all streaming platforms on 5/13. Joe Kenney's fifth studio album presents 16 improvisational piano pieces each inspired by a meditation on a different area of active personal focus. The album draws on Kenney's hallmark blend of neo-classical, jazz, new age, and expressively improvisational playing/compositional style.
Kenney's first foray into the NFT space features 150 available total copies of 15 variations of the album art for Reflections of Inner Transformation, and also unlocks an early-access download to the solo piano album, which releases to all channels in late April of 2022.
JKB celebrated the release of their award-winning 2020 album with performances in Wilmington, DE; Wayne, PA; New York, NY; Cleveland, OH; Louisville, KY; and Birmingham, AL; and a radio interview in Jackson, MS.
Our students are exceptional. In order to highlight the phenomenal work and progress of the students, we want to share it with you.
Subhangi joined the studio only over the summer; she is doing a fantastic job and making great progress! While this video features "Ice Skaters" from the Faber series, Subhangi's favorite piece to play on the piano is "Sunburst Waltz" (also from the same arrangers)!
After having entered the Piano Studio at Joe Kenney Enterprises during the summer, Subhangi has now entered 9th grade; and, although summer was great, Subhangi is excited to be studying math again.
When she is not in school or playing the piano, Subhangi indulges in listening to music. Says the budding pianist, "I am a fan of artists such as One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer, Fifth Harmony, and Little Mix. Occasionally, I listen to Rihanna, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Drake, Halsey, and Selena Gomez. "
Additionally, Subhangi enjoys doing cross country/track and field. When asked about the gameplan with the sport, Mohapatra responded, "I started cross country and track in 7th grade and plan to continue it my whole high school career."
With everything on her plate, Subhangi only had two words when we inquired about her favorite food: "Chicken parm".
Congratulations on being selected as the Student Spotlight, Subhangi!
