The Joe Kenney Trio is an exciting jazz-fusion group that draws on influences from jazz, soul, blues, funk, and even classical styles. The dynamic ensemble features three friends who studied music at West Chester University of PA. The group is lead by pianist Joe Kenney, and highlights Alex Dragonetti on bass and Eduardo Sinay on drums. Since the release of Joe’s solo debut album, “Afflictions and Remedies,” the group has been hitting the Greater Philadelphia Area music scene hard at jazz and blues clubs, performing energizing arrangements of Kenney’s debut CD, jazz-infused covers of popular hits, and distinct and boundary-pushing jazz standards.

Joe Kenney, pianist and leader of the Joe Kenney Trio, has thrived for years as an arranger, composer, and performer. His ability to incorporate classical training and jazz expertise into a unique sound has led to success in both his budding solo career and now with the emergence of his trio. Kenney’s debut album “Afflictions and Remedies” has been featured on the radio on WRTI Temple University (Philadelphia,PA) and is starting to be picked up nationally.
ALEXDRAGONETTI
Alex Dragonetti is a versatile bassist and guitarist who has played around the Philadelphia area for a number of years. He has been influenced by a variety of kinds of music, mainly through the musicians he has played with. Alex can currently be seen backing up Joe Kenney, as well as playing with West Chester based funk-fusion band Project Ico and reggae band The Lion's Paw. Alex has studied music and actively performed in ensembles at West Chester University. He has a vast stylistic diversity, keen ear and an impeccable understanding of music theory.
EDUARDOSINAY
Eduardo Sinay is a Music Education and Jazz Performance major currently at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Ever since he was a kid he loved the sound of drums and wanted to be a drummer. He was in a jazz band since fourth grade and is the drummer for the Statesmen Big Band at West Chester University. Eduardo has studied under Dion Parson for two years at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center Jazz for Teens Program in Newark, New Jersey. Not only is Eduardo a drum set player, but he is also very fluent in Latin percussion.
